The lice in the hair are small insects, which are present in the human head and feed the blood. This condition is caused by poor hygiene or unclean living conditions, but it mostly spreads from person to person through direct contact. Lice are often seen in children who come into contact with someone during play or have some other type of intimate contact with other people. You will experience itching and redness in the head. They are not really harmful, but very annoying. If the head lice is detected at the same time, it is corrected with home remedies. If home remedies do not work, then some other medicines are available to get rid of them.

Over-the-counter medications prescribed by a doctor kill lice, but eggs do not die. Therefore, you will have to use the medicine for some time to see good results. Chrysanthemum flower is poisonous to lice. Pyrethrin, a chemical compound extracted from flowers, is used as a base for making drugs. You must use these medicines as directed by your doctor. If over the counter medications fail, your doctor may prescribe benzyl alcohol, malathion, or lindane. Benzyl alcohol kills lice by depriving them of oxygen. Malathion is a medicinal shampoo that should be applied and left to dry naturally. It should be washed only after 8-12 hours. Lindane is used only in severe conditions when other treatments have failed. benzyl alcohol, Malathion or lindane should only be used on doctor’s instructions. It should not be prescribed by itself, as there can be serious side effects including seizures.
